Market overview for November 2009

 November 2009: 794 Sales November 2008: 499 Sales Ladies and Gents, that’s a 59% increase. Average Price was up from one year ago and up slightly over October, 2009. The last November with more sales was 2006, and that was 810 units, or only 2% higher.  People are seeing positive things in real estate. They’re thinking about… low interest rates that they heard about. A positive headline for a change in the Gazette (it already hit Twitter as “Colorado Springs-area home sales soar in November”). They’re thinking about their 401K and Vanguard saying things like “60% of all 401K’s are back where they were in November, 2008. They’re thinking about… opportunity.  Year to date sales are up 3.5%. Prices have stopped dropping. Inventory is almost identical to 2005… and demand last month was only 16% less. Oh, and rates? Sub 5%. 11% more buying power than last year. Those are the numbers to have.
